University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest is the most prestigious engineering school in Romania with more than 30.000 students and around 1700 academic staff. The University was founded in 1818 and it is a public school. University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest has 15 faculties, 57 departments, 38 research centers, 6 interdisciplinary research-training platforms, 9 Multiple Users Research Database and cooperates with over 190 Universities in Europe, America, Asia and Africa. As a result, UPB was designated in 2018 among the top 500 best Universities in the world, by “Academic Ranking of World Universities” program.
The University role in SafeEngine project is to bring innovative tools for engineering higher education sector, support the improvement of learning-outcomes-oriented curricula, specifically enriching student’s knowledge in environmental risk assessment. Throughout the project implementation, the knowledge provided will tackle the current skills gaps of engineers that partner Universities are preparing.

University of Malaga
The University of Malaga is one of the Spain’s premiere institutions among higher education sector. UMA was founded in 1972 and since then it has grew considerably its international presence and prestige. The University has two campuses, with more than 35.000 students and over 2.400 professors. UMA is implicated to stimulate educational innovation and boosting research quality among students, professors, young researchers throughout different international research projects, research centers, fellowships and others. Therefore, the University has been ranked among the top 500 best Universities in the world, by Webometrics: 496.
The role of University of Malaga in SafeEngine project focuses on the acquisition of information in two specific modules: environmental risk assessment and safety in process industries. Thus, the University will encourage to promote these courses/practical activities among the students of chemical engineering and environmental science degrees, as well strengthen the network between students/professors of Spain, Italy and Romania.

“Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu

The “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu is a public school located in the heart of Transilvania – Sibiu. ULBS is acknowledged as an innovative organization regarding academic management, study programs and International Cooperations. Moreover, the University promotes excellence in the educational and research processes applied to a wide range of disciplines. Every year ULBS opens its gates to approximately 15.000 students, of different areas of study and more than 650 members of teaching staff. The University encourages the improvement of existing courses/ programs and promotes its unique teaching and educational process among students and staff members.
The role of “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu in the framework of SafeEngine project is to create and involve professors in training programs related to Workplace Social Inclusion and System/Occupational Safety. Moreover, the developed modules for each topic will be taught to students of the specific courses of Bachelor and Master degree studies.

University of Naples Federico II
The University of Naples Federico II is the most ancient University of the world, had being funded by the Roman Emperor Frederick II in 1221. It is the second largest Universities in Italy with almost 78.000 students and 5.500 staff members. In terms of organization, the University is separated into 4 Schools and 26 Departments, 5 of these Departments are dedicated to engineering studies and researchers. The University aims to attract students from wide range of background and support their initiatives, stimulates the course modules development and inspires students, young researchers, professors to be part of wide range of research programs and trainings. Therefore, the efforts can be seen as the University was classified among the top 300 best Universities.
The role of University of Naples Federico II in the project SafeEngine to develop learning tools related to Safety in Process Industries modules, Additionally, the University will organize and support trainings for professors in the area of Safety in Process Industries with the specific teaching materials and promote the information gained to students of Master degree.
